Valley Yarns presents 010 Lewiston from the
Kathy Elkins
Fall in New England Collection, a gorgeous women’s pullover knit in Wachusett. The sweater features a wide cabled motif that is worked sideways on the upper body with a scoop neckline and A-line shaping. Lewiston’s cable panels are knit first, and then stitches are picked along the long side of each cable panel, joined in the round, and worked down for the lower body. Stitches are picked up along the second long side of the cable panels for the upper body. Valley Yarns Wachusett is a gorgeous blend of Merino wool and cashmere, named after scenic Mount Wachusett—the highest point in Massachusetts east of the Connecticut River. The cable panel pattern is charted and written out.
